What to Do After a Motorcycle Accident

motorcycle accident lawyer clark njThe sheer terror of a motorcycle accident can deeply traumatize you. In order to preserve the value of your claim in case the accident turns out to have been someone else’s negligence, you need to contact me. But before then, the following:

At the Scene

  • Get to safety — out of the road and, preferably, away from your motorcycle
  • Call 911 if anyone appears to be injured
  • Get insurance details from the other driver, if any
  • Wait for the police to arrive (or the ambulance, if you are injured)
  • Obviously, if you are seriously injured, you will not be able to take the actions listed above

After the Accident

  • Seek medical treatment immediately. You will need a doctor to establish the extent of your damages
  • Contact your insurance company
  • Do not accept a quick settlement offer from the insurance company. It will almost certainly amount to only a fraction of what your claim is worth
  • Contact me for a free initial consultation (please see the bottom of this page for details)

Someone to Have Your Back

Do not skip the last step — contact me as soon as you can. In my 35 years of practice as a personal injury attorney, I have successfully resolved thousands of claims for injured accident victims, resulting in literally millions of dollars of compensation. Personal injury law is the only type of law I practice and motorcycle accident victims are among the most common types of clients I represent.

No Upfront Fees if You Do Not Bring Home Compensation, My Legal Fees are Zero

I win nearly all the accident cases my clients bring to me. I can afford to offer you risk-free representation. At my personal injury firm, you will owe no upfront fees. The advantage this deal offered to you is that my representation depends on the value of your claim, not the size of your pocketbook.
