Linwood Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash on Tilton Road in Egg Harbor Township

According to New Jersey police, Linwood motorcyclist Paul S. Higbee III, 44, was seriously injured on Wednesday, May 3 when he was hit by a car on Tilton Road in the Cardiff section of Egg Harbor township, right in front the Harbor Square Mall. Higbee received treatment from the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad and the AtlantiCare paramedics at the scene and was transported to the hospital suffering with serious injuries.

Police say the accident happened when Egg Harbor Township resident Arbab Ullah, 52, who was headed northbound on Tilton Road attempted to turn his 2016 Honda Accord left into Harbor Square Mall at 9:30 p.m. According to the police, Ullah turned into Higbee’s path and hit him. Higbee had been riding his 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle on Tilton Road headed east. After being treated at the accident scene, Higbee was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.

The accident investigation and cleanup caused that area of Tilton Road to be closed for about three hours. Egg Harbor Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit officers Robert Moran and Louis Poletis are investigating the crash. Accidents between motorcycles and automobiles are on the rise in New Jersey and in most cases, it is the motorcyclist that suffers the most serious injuries. In more than 2/3 of the accidents, the person driving the automobile is at fault because they were being inattentive or negligent. In order to ensure the motorcyclist receives the medical care and compensation they deserve, it’s essential they have competent legal representation.
